relating to our event service:
Firstly, thank you for considering using our coffee for events service. Here we will outline the main
terms and conditions of how our service operates & things for you to consider before making a booking.
Our service is available for private functions and events within the BH DT SO & SP postcodes.
Events we cater for range from indoor & in the summer some outdoor events such as Weddings, parties, business conferences, private exhibitions & funerals. Our service is to provide a hot drink
barista style service using a set up consisting of a barista, coffee machine & all the equipment necessary to provide a professional service.
We do require the use of a hot and cold water supply, a kitchen for cleaning utensils & a power supply for approx 5 pieces of equipment. We do not carry a generator for usage where electricity isn't available.
Costs for electric we use can be discussed at the point of booking our service with the event organiser.
Our footprint for indoor set ups varies from event to event depending on the size of potential number of people at the event, & how much room there is for us to operate. We can squeeze our service into most areas providing it is safe and within safe reach of power sockets. We carry our own water for the coffee machine and use our own refrigeration for milk products.
Hygiene certificates & public liability insurance certificates are available upon request from the event organisor. Mr Ken's Organization utilises the NCASS health & safety system so our
clients can have peace of mind when booking. All method statements and risk assessments will be ready and available when requested. We will carry out a further risk assessment prior to serving any drinks.
The most recent electrical PAT testing certificates will be made available where requested.
We must stress that our business is to provide a hot and cold drinks solution, food options are not currently available with the exception of ambient/pre-packaged items such as biscuits/cookies
& chocolate bars. We usually sell these as an add on - or where we have been paid to serve, we can provide these as optional 'sides'.
From time to time we can provide a free taster session of our service for a short period depending on availability, to showcase our set up & provide a free taster of a couple of drinks from our
main menu. If you would like to sample our service, please mention this when consulting with us.
Payment options:
Payments are to be agreed during the consultation process, when to pay will also need to be agreed during this time.
Our service covers event sizes of up to 200 potential guests and as little as 20. Prices when paying for our service for the day (the event organiser pays us to attend and service the guests), start at £5 per head. For events where there are likely to be more than 100 guests we would offer our service at £3 per head.
For 'pay as you go' set ups where the event organiser books us to 'serve and charge' (where the guest pays) - our prices are comparable to most coffee shops. For example, a latte serving of 12oz size would usually cost £4 - anything added such as a flavouring syrup would be an extra 50p.
If there is a space rental fee for our set up to serve at these type of events, we would need confirmation of this during the consultation.
Menu and options:
We have a fairly large range of drinks available for all events. These consist mainly of espresso based drinks such as lattes, cappuccinos, flat whites, americanos. Large selection of teas including Earl Grey, green tea and chai latte tea. In the summer months we also offer an iced shakes menu and where requested - bubble tea is also an option.
